Lesson plans on global issues

The aim of this section is to provide a source of English language teaching materials that do not focus only on European or North American issues. All of the lesson plans include tips for teaching and learning reading. These materials are prepared by Jackie McAvoy, a former winner of the Lesson Share competition. Jackie works for the British Council in Tunisia.

Bridges - Elementary

Skills: Reading skills including understanding how a text is organised and a gap fill with numbers. Includes vocabulary work on collocations plus ideas for speaking and writing.
